So many shades of the sea and sky with their beautiful rich blues and greens are used in my new textured original landscape painting. This painting was created with both brushes and expressive strokes of a palette knife and also has the colors, yellow, earthy brown, and deep midnight blue. Artist acrylic paint with various acrylic mediums were used to paint the landscape on the stretched gallery wrapped canvas.
Expressing the color, light, and many moods of nature, has kept me busy painting and making things since I was a little girl. My deep appreciation and love of nature influences my artwork both in the materials used and my expression of art. I find it intriguing to find older, unique items and give them a second life. Coming up with new designs for my glassware and paintings, or thinking about some new project, are things I love to do. There is a joy in making something useful and artistic that will hopefully bring happiness to those who use it.
